This tutorial demonstrates a simple pillar-style card using the Keep It Simple Barnyard Bliss collection. This idea was created by design team member, Leslie. See instructions and a shopping list below.
From white cardstock, cut the card base at 5-1/2" x 10-1/4" and score it at 4-1/4", 5-1/4", 7-1/4" and 8-1/4". From a patterned paper in the Barnyard Bliss collection, cut a layering panel at 1-3/4" x 5-1/4". From colored cardstock, cut a layering panel at 2-1/8" x 5-3/8". From white cardstock, cut a layering panel at 1-7/8" x 5-1/8".

Apply adhesive to the left-most section of the card base. Fold on the score lines (all mountain folds) to form a rectangular pillar.

Tuck the outer edge of the section with the adhesive into the right-most score line crease and press to adhere. Push the pillar over toward the right and press it flat to work the fibers. This will ensure that the card will fold flat for mailing.

Adhere the patterned paper panel to the pillar on the left side. Now adhere the white sentiment layer to the colored cardstock.

Embellish as desired. I used Barnyard Bliss Die Cut Pieces on both sections. I also stamped a sentiment from the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set on the sentiment panel.

Adhere the sentiment panel to the right side which will complete the card.
