Layered Diamonds Pop Up Card with La Vie en Rose

Create a striking project using our newest collection: La Vie en Rose.  This project was created by design team member, Leslie.

CUT CARD BASE & LAYERS

RED CARDSTOCK:
1. Card base – 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 2”, 3-1/8”, 5-3/8” and 6-1/2”.
2. Front side panel diamonds – 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” (cut 2)
3. Front center panel diamonds (upper and lower) – 2-1/4” x 2-1/4” (cut 2)
4. Front focal panel diamond (center) – 2-1/4” x 2-1/4”

IVORY CARDSTOCK:
1. Front focal panel diamond (center) – 2” x 2”
2. Back center sentiment panel – 2” x 5-1/4”

PATTERNED PAPER (FROM THE LA VIE EN ROSE COLLECTION PACK):
1. Plaid front side panels – 1-3/4” x 5-1/4” (cut 2)
2. Plaid front center panel – 2” x 5-1/4”
3. Floral front side panel diamonds – 2-1/4” x 2-1/4” (cut 2, then cut each one in half diagonally)
4. Floral front center panel diamonds (upper and lower) – 2” x 2” (cut 2)
5. Damask back side panels – 1-3/4” x 5-1/4” (cut 2)

ASSEMBLE DIAMONDS:
1. Glue the two larger and the two smaller floral patterned paper diamonds to the appropriate red cardstock diamonds. Cut the two larger diamonds in half diagonally.
2. Adhere the ivory cardstock diamond to the remaining red cardstock diamond.

CARD FRONT:
1. Adhere the plaid side panels and center panel to the front of the card base.
2. Glue one of the larger diagonally-cut diamonds to the left side of the card base, starting at the top. Line up the points with the top and side edge and the flat side to the score line. Next, add the bottom one. Repeat the process on the right side.

3. Adhere the smaller diamonds to the center front, top one first, then add the bottom one.
4. Pop up the focal diamond on foam squares between the other two diamonds.
5. Add an image and sentiment to the focal diamond.

CARD BACK:
1. Glue the damask side panels to the back of the card base.
2. Adhere the ivory sentiment panel to the back of the card base.
3. Add a sentiment.

The card is complete. It will fold flat to fit in a standard A2 size envelope for mailing.
