Make a pyramid card with the Belle Collection

This project was created by design team member, Barry.

This pyramid 3D card makes a wonderful gift that you can send in the mail.  See the instructions below and a supply list at the bottom of this post.  You can also watch a full tutorial of a slightly different version on the Keep It Simple Paper Crafts YouTube channel here.

Cut 3 - 4x4 square cardstock pieces for the base then score diagonally down one corner. Cut 2 - 3 3/4 square designer paper pieces and cut diagonally. Only 3 of the halves will be used. Cut 2 - 1 1/2 square designer papers in complementary colors and cut diagonally. Only 3 of the halves will be used.

Glue one 4x4 base with diagonal score in vertical position to the other 2 4x4 bases on either side lining up the score lines to the edge of middle base.

Adhere designer paper that is now in the shape of triangles as shown leaving a small 1/4 border and keeping the folds visible for ease in folding.

Adhere coordinating designer paper that are now cut into triangles in the positions indicated in the photo. Keep roughly a 1/4 border around each piece.

Fold card following the folds to form the pyramid shape. Using a small round adhesive velcro circle to the opening to secure it for assembly. Unhinge the velcro to fold flat for mailing.

Decorate the front as desired using the Belle collection stamped images, die cuts or ephemera pieces.  Back the images with a Stitched Nested Circle and a few items from the Sprinkles collection.

Supplies used:

  • Belle 6x9 Paper Collection
  • Belle Die Cut Pieces
  • Back To Basics Nested Circle Dies
  • Sprinkles, as desired - we recommend Red & Gold Chunky Glitter, gold pieces only
